Role Play RulesHeya all! Locke here with some simple rules for the Role Play (RP) forum. Of course, each one will have their own specific rules, but here is a general set for all to follow (unless the RP says otherwise).
1) No godmodding. For those of you who don't know what this entails, it means controlling another person's character without their consent. For example:
"Player A attacks Player B with a sword, cutting player B's head off. Player B dies."
In this case, Player A controlled whether or not Player B dodged or blocked. Player B should have a chance to counterattack or block if they should choose to do so. But the counterattack can be blocked, etc.
2) No stupid entrances, like "Player A appeared out of thin air, attacking Player B." Gotta make it somewhat realistic, right? It adds to the intrigue of the story, and improves its overall quality.
3) Be polite. Constructive criticism is alright (I have to help MassEternal with his spelling/grammar all of the time), but don't be obnoxious and insulting.
Any of these infringements will be met with a warning for the first offense, deletion of the post for the second through fifth, and temporary suspension for any after that. Of course, the severity of the infringement will be taken into account as well, and could adversely affect the punishment.
