Just to fly away from it all.
Sometimes I'm afraid of being a bird,
I'm afraid I would fall....
Sometimes I wish I could fly,
Just get away from the brawl.
But if I leave,
Will I be forgotten by all?
I wish I could ride the back of the wind,
Let it carry me forth,
On and on, without end,
To escape from the pain,
To escape the lies,
To escape the hatred,
In a hundred gleaming eyes.
But if I left,
Where would I go?
Will death await me?
How would I know?
Would anyone care?
Would anyone think?
Isn't there someone out there,
To bring me back from the brink?
