This is a description of the geography of Arbiter. The following is a list of the islands with their basic data.
1. Algontra
The smallest main island in the world. It is an artificial island that floats on the ocean, placed in the middle of the Great Sea. It is a major trading post despite being only one city. People are constantly expanding the island to make room for more people. Since it is artificial, it has no native animals. THe island is a mixture of people, kind of like New York City.
2. Ground
The second largest island. Entire island is one huge desert. Many unique desert animals inhabit this island. Citadel of Gaia is in the very center of the island. One port city in the NW corner of the island. There are some ruins in the interior of the island, but no native people. The second most isolated island on the Great Sea.
3. Bondelwim
Large island covered in grassy plains, full of animals. Lots of small towns with friendly people and some groups of nomads. Port cities at the four rocky outcroppings. Large farming center.
4. Rolgarrandos
Hilly island where all the soil is clay. Not at all good for farming, but there is a huge mining idustry here. Some unique animals who survive off the clay. They have to import most of there food, but they export many types of precious stones and raw minerals.
5. Denstra
The whole island is completely covered in forest. The north holds gigantic trees; the south is more of a rainforest. Middle of the island is a non-specific type of forest. People here depend on the trees for money and to survive. Inumerable unique animals. This is the only island not inhabited by the Riddebings (more on them later).
6. Ahomanuu
Nothing particularly interesting about the mainland. There is a very large coral reef of the SW shore. Home of a unique religious sect.
7. Cruscant
Shaped like a crescent. The rocky points of the crescent create incredible high and low tides at the interior of the crescent. This effect creates the worlds largest beach. Southern tip has a very high mountain. This island is the main trading port between the ground world and the sea worlds capital.
8. Quicrow
This island was once an enormous volcano. When it exploded 200 years ago, the mountain vanished and sank into the sea. Ths created to separate islands that look like crescent moons facing eachother. Since the explosion, people have moved in to take advantage of the fertile soil. No unique animals.
9. Yamanees
The Yamanees is a collection of islands grouped together as one country. The islands have a very diverse population. The Yamanees are the worlds largest growing place for fruit. The islands are also a breeding ground for most species of birds. The largest island is nothing more than the worlds highest mountain, inhabited by Topis and Cheep-Cheeps.
10.Poruum
No people live on this island. It isn't really anything more than a sandbar that raised out of the sea. Has many caves beneath it's surface.
11. Skitchi
The most southern island on the planet. Covered in tundra. Many unique animals. Home to the largest colony of Riddebings. This largest island has no humans living here but many science expeditions are sent here to examine the unexplained runis here.
12. Krantle
An island floating in the sky. Created after the explosion of Quicrow. The sediments launched into the atmosphere merged with the clouds and created a unique state of matter. The island is literally made of clouds. The clouds are firm enough to stand on, but very bouncy and soft. There is even a special type of cloud that acts like an ocean made of clouds that you can swim through. From the ground, the island looks like an enormous cloud, but the cloud never releases the water held inside. The island is populated, but immigration is low due to the difficulty of getting there.
[Thats all I have now, but there is one more country. Just haven't finalized it.]

OK, the last country.
13. Norlaguas
Name for the collection of cities constructed on the ocean floor. The cities are inhabited by the Jeblons; a species of humans adapted to living underwater. They keep to themselves but have a flourshing trade with the above ground world.
Some details about the planet and its countries.
Arbiter is smaller than Earth, giving it less gravity. The atmosphere is also lighter, allowing for much larger animals to fly. Winter only occurs in very southern areas or on high mountains. The ocean is not very salty and is completely free of pollutants, creating a very clear ocean. The people have no large industries. The most powerful weapon is the trebuche, the most powerful handheld weapon is the bow and arrow. Basically the kind of weaponry one would find in the medevil period. There are 22 powerful nations in the world. They send representatives to a monthly council. The rulers of the nations also attend an annual multi-nation council. The preists of Gaia alwasys attend the annual meeting and usually send someone to the monthly meetings. There are 15 months in a year, 29 days in a month, and 8 days a week.

Ahh, I am so sorry. I completely forgot to mention the main conflict. stupid, stupid, stupid. Okay, about 50 years before this RP is occuring, there was a visit from a person from another world. He was a dimensional ambassador from earth, and he was delighted to find another world with human like creatures of equal intelligence, if with lower technological skills. The world governments and the priests of Gaia welcomed the man at first, and he was hailed as the man who would usher in a new age of knowledge.(The priests at first thought he was a messenger of Gaia, but after speaking with him for a little while were convinced he wasn't and decided to accept his story as the only other option.) The man had brought with him some bibles and spoke about Christianity as the true religion. The people of Arbiter know that Gaia exists, through the small powers he grants his priests, and considered the mans religion nothing more than an interesting story. However, the man was persistent and kept telling the priests that Gaia was a false god. The preists are a very understanding bunch and never supposed that they knew everything, but the man was starting to try their patience. The real trouble occurred when the man actually managed to get some followers. Soon their numbers grew and they started to perform acts of rebellion against the governments.
At this point, the priests and the world government decided that something had to be done. They did not want to execute the man since he meant no harm and had not authorized any of the acts of violence that had occurred. The decision was made that the man should be banished from all major cities and his followers punished if they had commited any crimes.(Rebellion is not a crime on Arbiter since it almost never happens.) The man, realizing that he had destroyed any possibilities of friendly relations with Arbiter, decided to return to Earth and try his luck on another planet. When he left, he left behind one of his bibles.
50 years later, and that single bible has been copied and distributed throughout the planet. The rebellion has reformed, though it performs almost no illegal activities to prevent their recapture. The world government and the priests are disturbed by these events, but they are a tolerant lot and prefer not to fight against such things. Unbeknowst to the world government, but knownst to us, the rebellion has been secretly planning a full scale armed rebellion to topple the government and the priests in one fell swoop. Only the priests have any inkling that something is brewing, and that is only a feeling they have.
